The Stewart Cup returned safely to the Perth Curling Club.The Stewart Cup, a symbol of curling superiority between The PCC senior men and the Smiths Falls Curling Club senior men, was once again claimed by the Perth Curling Club. The competition is a six game total score event that occurs every year. Three games are played in Perth and 3 games are played in Smiths Falls.After the first round, played in Perth on March 12th, the home team had an 11 point advantage. On March 20th, 3 teams travelled to Smiths Falls to complete the event. After 3 hard fought games, as they usually are, the Perth Curling Club men held on to defeat the Smiths Falls men by 2 points to reclaim the trophy for the second year in a row.Seen in the photo is Bob Day accepting the trophy and congratulations from Rick McGrath of the Smiths Falls Curling Club.Thank you to the 24 men who represented our club in this event.
